Reflections Overview

The Reflections Art Program is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program that encourages artistic creativity in the classroom and at home. Students of all grades (Pre-K through 12) can participate and submit their original works of art in one or more of the following categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

 Get inspired by this year's theme, Accepting Imperfection! Choose from one of the categories above and get creative! By entering the “National PTA Reflections Program,” entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules as well as the entry requirements for their specific arts category and division.

The artist statement communicates what inspired the work, how it relates to the theme, and the content of the work. The statement must include 10-100 words. Remember that this is an art program, not a writing program! Don't overthink it.

Entries are reviewed at local, council, state and national levels. . Entries will be judged primarily on how well the student uses his or her artistic vision to portray the theme, originality and creativity. Digital art can be submitted below; all other entries will be turned into the front office.

Students that submit their online entry on or before October 7th  will receive a Reflections Prize!

  • Award of Excellence: $200 Young Artist Scholarship, Silver Medal, Certificate of Excellence, and featured in a virtual exhibition.


  • Outstanding Interpretation Award: $800 Young Artist Scholarship, Gold Medal, Certificate of Outstanding Interpretation, featured in a virtual exhibition, and $200 prize for the local PTA
